| This is the location of the original Finelli's Café, which first opened for business in 1999, on East 5th Street. After searching for years for the right location, David Finelli knew this site was the perfect place to make his dream of being a restaurateur, a reality. This site was once the area's first KFC, but was more recently a dive shop. It would take 9 months of work to create the Finelli's Café that David Finelli had envisioned in his mind. With the help of his wife, Becky, they renovated this building into a charming, warm, and inviting atmosphere that Finelli's Café is now known for. After serving many dishes, customers, and friends, the Finelli's decided to move to the larger, more centrally located site on Red Banks Road, but they would never forget their humble beginnings. In 2007, the original Finelli's Café located on 2905 East 5th Street, would reopen as a casual, Italian-American, neighborhood café with a simple and lower priced menu. Finelli's on 5th offers the same delicious, homemade pasta sauces that customers have known for years, but it is a different concept, menu, and atmosphere than the larger location on Red Banks. They offer a 12X16" pizza, a large salad bar, lunch buffet, Sunday breakfast, delicious subs, draft beer, and many specialty pasta dishes not found at Red Banks Road.
